Basic steps of payment
Diginet Payment Gateway is designed for online merchants who want to create an online store for selling goods or providing services.
It is intended for accepting payments by all forms of remote payment, available in Moldova, namely: bank cards, payment terminals (QIWI and NettoPro) and cash in the bank (factura.md).
For the case of online payment by bank card, it also could be implemented an additional module of Fraud prevention of credit cards.
We also left the option, the payment by cash in the office of the merchant or to courier.
2) BASIC STEPS OF THE PAYMENT
2.1) The selection of form of payment
For the payer, the payment gateway is offering to select one form of payment from the offered ones.
Hence, the payer can pay only by one selected form of payment and while the other form of payments is becoming not available to eliminate potential double payment for a single order.
Also we left an early existing option, the payment by cash in the office of the merchant (or courier). In this case, the amount for payment is showning in moldovan lei.
Furthermore, the payer at any time, may change the form of payment.
Usually, the payer could pay by using any available form payment.
- option 1) Payment by cash in the bank (e-invoice) or via Cash-In-Terminal (QIWI и NettoPro)
In this case, payer can pay in moldovan lei only.
For payment, it is required that the buyer to provide the unique booking number.
In addition, we strongly recommend that the payer to print out the invoice, and had it available when paying, and also kept the invoice until receipt of goods or services.
- option 2) Online payment by bank card
Cardholders can select the currency for payment, namely: moldovan lei or Euro.
Once the payer has chosen option of payment by credit card, then the payer is redirecting to the payment gateway of the bank.
2.2) the payment gateway of the bank
Payment online is actually happening in payment gateway of the bank, where the payer enters his credit card number.
Number of credit card of bank card holder is NOT stored in Diginet payment gateway.
Further, on the side of the bank’s payment gateway, it is choosing one option from two: successful, or not successful payment.
In case of successful payment, the money is blocking on the credit card of the payer.
Then, the payer then is redirecting back to the Diginet payment gateway.
2.3) return to the Diginet payment gateway
If result received from payment gateway of the bank is successful, then the module «online fraud detection» is using for evaluating a fraud score.
2.3.1) There is a built-in module for fraud prevention for payments via bank cards.
The estimation of risc is basing on several parameters that affect the risks. The settings of parametrs could be be customized to the client requirements.
If the risk score of «fraud detection» exceeds a certain thresholds, then there is the option of additional verification of mobile phone number of bank card holder by using a single verification code that sending by SMS.
Depending on the risk, this payment can be either authorized automatically (ie, “accept money to the account of the merchant”), or decision of the authorization of the payment will be transferred to the responsible manager of the merchant.
The manager may decide to authorize payment, or to cancel payment and unblock money from the payer’s bank card.
2.3.2) This module «online fraud detection» allows to significantly decrease the risk of the fraud, and, as a result, reduce the number of «chardge back» and losses from the payment of fines for them. (The fines in Visa and MasterCard may be as high as 20 euro, for each case «chardge back»).
- if the payment was successful and it is passed the module «fraud detection», Diginet payment gate informs bank card holder about the status of online payment and processing status of his order
- if the payment was not successful or it is not passed module «fraud detection», Diginet payment gate infroms the payer that his payment is not successful and the money on bank card was unblocked.
2.4) return to the merchant’s site
After completing the payment procedure, the buyer will be redirected back to the successful of unsuccessful page of the merchant’s website.
2.5) History of orders and logs
Yet, Diginet payment gateway retained the details of all orders and logs how payment was occurred.
3) PERSONAL ACCOUNT OF THE MERCHANT
For responsible managers of the merchant there is personal account of a manager.
There are several roles that allow you to restrict the access to information on payments, depending on the duties of the responsible manager of merchant.
The payment gateway on Diginet also has additional functionality that allows you to significantly increase the usability for all its participants.
3.1) manual invoice
Managers have possibility to issue the invoice manually.
It is useful when the buyer cannot book a product or service through the site, is meeting the difficulties with payment, or does not have access to the Internet to change the form of payment.
3.2) white list of permanent payers
for online payment by credit card there is a “white list of permanent payers”, who receive certain benefits for the authorization of payment and order processing.
3.3) restict access to online form of payment
managers of the merchant could make settings to restrict access of the definite payer to the form of payment via bank card for a certain period, if his actions fall under the “suspicious behavior when paying online.”
